School Visits
I love visiting with young readers and writers, especially in the school environment. It’s educational and fun to talk about what inspires them to create with words. Please contact me if you’d like me to visit your school or group to discuss my experiences with reading, writing, and self-publishing.
Editing
I’ve offered editing services for several books, including Some Dreams Are Worth Keeping, A Memoir of My Bipolar Journey, by Susan Johnson, “Stuck” and “A Hard Place To Find,” by Ronnie Tee Smith, a master’s thesis for my cousin, and various articles by talented friends. If you’d like some help editing, both for content and grammar/spelling/punctuation/etc, please visit my Hire Me page.
Mentoring
I’ve had the honor of helping a few young adults with their English and writing classes by serving as a mentor. It’s extremely rewarding to puzzle and percolate though their work, help refine their talent, and encourage them to learn the craft. If you need someone to assist with your young writer, let me know. I’d be happy to offer mentoring.
touringbird.com
*Update: Google took the site down in 2020. But it was cool, trust me. This travel website (owned by Google, so yes, my paycheck was from Google) was packed full of destinations from all around the world. I wrote about some the “off-the-beaten-path” places in Las Vegas, Washington D.C., and New York. It was an incredible resource for folks venturing around the world. If you’d like me to write about any of your favorite “off-the-beaten-path” locations for your publications, visit my Hire Me page.
